Dear Mr. Burton:
You have my grateful permission to reprint my book What the Bible Says About Civil Government on your web page. I have no idea what involvement College Press might want to have in granting permission. That would be up to you, I suppose, unless they need my permission. If they need my permission I could easily drive up town to their offices and give it.
I can't tell you how much I've prayed that College Press would reprint it. I've had many people write and phone me asking where they could get a copy. I had one gentleman in California ask me a few years after publication about sending his son to Ozark Christian College to study law because he read my book. Of course, I had to tell him that OCC didn't have a law school, but I consider that one of the finest compliments I've had about the book.
I sent copies to President George Herbert Walker Bush, to President William Jefferson Clinton, to Newt Gingrich, and to George W. Bush. I received personally signed letters from all except Bill Clinton who sent me a printed postcard with a printed signature. I'm only sorry I didn't get the book done and published in time to send Ronald Reagan one. He's one of my great heroes. I spent three years of research doing that book and it is a favorite of the 16 volumes I've written and published through College Press. I hope many other people will be able to have access to it through your web page. Is it all right for me to refer people to your web page (www.rges.cc) when they ask me for a copy of WTBSACG?
Let me know about the progress or success in putting the book on your web page.
God bless,
Paul T. Butler
